Operation Ibiza Beach Clean-up

If you read our Ibiza Spotlight news article 'A High Wind in Ibiza' you'll know that in San Antonio over 30 boats were swept from their moorings by high winds and dumped on Arenal Beach.
Until today, the owners of the boats had been unable to move them because the winds were hampering any operations by heavy equipment.

As the wind dropped, thousands of Euros' worth of cranes arrived to start shifting the yachts and cruisers washed ashore.

It was a delicate and difficult task as many boats' keels were well and truly stuck in the sand. Here's a video of one attempt to refloat a yacht.
