Natural Ibiza: The Upside

Driving round the island at this time of year you're sure to spot people lurking serrupticiously about in the undergrowth. Don't worry, they're not up to no good, they're Ibiza's wild asparagus hunters. This tasty vegetable is bursting out all over from the dangerously spikey bushes from which it grows. Not only is it used in Ibicenco favourites like Asparagus Omelette but it's also good for the urinary system!
I picked a bunch at the weekend and teamed it up with more of Ibiza's tasty home grown products, roast lamb, fresh wild rosemary and roast potatoes - delicious, but a pity the wild garlic isn't ready for another couple of months!
