Faith Ibiza: Ascension Day
Christians all over the world celebrate Ascension Day this year on May 21st. Held 40 days after Easter, Christians mark the day when Christ last appeared on earth after his resurrection and ascended to Heaven. Here, the English Speaking Church of Ibiza and Formentera, have organised a rather special ceremony on that day. It's the Ascension Day Sunrise Service on Sa Talaia with breakfast, and takes place at 06.30 on Ibiza's highest mountain overlooking the village of San Jose.
