Underground Ibiza: Can Jordi Blues Station

It's a shop, a cafe, a bar, a gallery, a live music venue. It's Can Jordi and you've probably driven past it and noticed no more than the baskets hanging outside for sale and a line of pick-up trucks parked nearby.

It's one of those places that make Ibiza 'special' and unlike many other Mediterranean destinations. It's a focal point for the community, friendly, cheap, and open all year (apart from a couple of weeks holiday in January)

Hugging the roadside at KM7.7 on the Ibiza – San Jose highway (just before the Sluiz 'megastore') you can catch all sorts of live performances in this intimate venue.

Performance by Ben Howard and India

The Blues Mafia, Muriel Grossman, Fletxa Negra, Blues Dave, and Mike Dipirro to name but a few have all graced the stage and on special summer nights like the fiesta of San Juan, there are outdoor concerts there.

To get you in the mood, here's a great video of Blues Dave

The bar has its own Facebook page which you can check for upcoming events, so why not give it a try when you're in Ibiza next?
