There's a great free jazz concert in San Antonio this Friday 25th June. Free, because it won't cost a cent to get in and free, because it features the free blowing Austrian sax player Muriel Grossmann.
Ibiza based, she brings her quartet featuring
muriel grossmann - alto, soprano saxophone and flute
radomir milojkovic -guitar
chema pellico - bass
wolfgang reisinger – drums
to the Fountians Square of San Antonio at 22.00
Don't be late as they're only doing one set.
As well as being an accomplished sax player, Muriel's got a great voice, perfectly suited to Bossa Nova and Chema Pellico is one of the best bass guitarists I've seen.
Eagle eyed readers will notice that Muriel plays a vintage Conn 6M alto sax, which I was Charlie Parker's chosen instrument until he had that plastic sax made!
Nice!
