Young Ibiza: Let's Go Fly a Kite

Kids in Ibiza just don't know how lucky they are. Weekends just seem to be full of activities for them. Today, for example, was kite flying day in San Antonio, an annual event that's been on the winter calendar for around ten years now, and a fund raiser for one of the schools in the town.

The original date for the fiesta was postponed because of high winds but today was a perfect day for kite flying. Hundreds of people turned up, some with their own super duper performing kites and others who purchased made to measure kites from the on site kite workshop.

The main object of today was to beat the record of the most kites in the air at any one time which was set last year when 125 were aloft together. Our photos were taken early in the day when around 50 kites were up to the highest height.............
