Big Pau Gasol's been showing his ring to everyone in Ibiza who cared to look over the last few days. Gasol, who plays basketball in the States with the Los Angeles Lakers, became the first Spaniard ever to win an NBA championship ring when the Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA Finals.
Here in Spain, basketball is an extremely popular sport, and so when one of its sons makes it to the very top level, everyone knows about it. What makes him even more popular here in Ibiza is that he's Catalan, and was born in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona.

The seven footer, (2.13m) regularly spends his holidays in Ibiza and is certainly a man about town. He spent Sunday night in Pacha VIP - don't worry even on his paltry salary of $15 million ($2.14 million per foot) he can afford it – with his brother Marc (also a basketball pro in the States) and friends.
Man of the people that he is, he was also spotted in a San Jorge supermarket doing his own shopping, and where he could come in very handy reaching those hard to get items at the back of the top shelf.
