Ibiza Comes to Harrods

Even when you're miles away, Ibiza has a habit of popping up wherever you are. For example last week I'd left my Kensington boutique hotel holiday accommodation to pick up a few essentials in Harrod's Knightsbridge store – a jeroboam of Dom Perignon White Gold 1995 and an Opulent Chocolate Selection Box, snips at £7750 and £75 respectively, and a couple of pairs of Paul Smith Socks – when, as I stepped out of the limo, I saw this

Some traditional Ibicenco folk dancing on a big telly in the window!

Further investigation in the food hall – I had to pop in for a couple of dozen oysters (I was on holiday, after all) – I noticed food from all over Spain, the Balearics and Ibiza included.

It was all part of a joint promotion between 'Arrods and the Spanish tourist authorities which is still on until 1st of November in the Food Halls, Ground Floor and the Georgian Restaurant, Fourth Floor.

This is what they say about it on their website
“Holiday season may have passed, but a special in-store event this October is destined to keep the continental feeling alive. Harrods is celebrating Spain’s diverse culture and gastronomy, giving customers the opportunity to sample the region’s best loved and lesser known pleasures.
Visit the Food Halls to discover a selection of food and wines from Spain’s most prestigious suppliers, with dedicated areas showcasing regional Spanish cuisine.
The Georgian Restaurant will be offering a special Spanish menu throughout the month, ideal for those who wish to indulge in traditional dishes masterfully prepared.
Plus, enter a prize draw for a chance to win one of four luxury holidays to Spain. See in-store for details.”

So if you're in that London for any reason why not go and take a looksee?
